The Retro Remakes website holds an annual competition to remake classic arcade games for the modern PC, many featuring updated graphics and sound. I especially liked Robotron Blitz. 2004 Indie Game of the Year Awards!

For the 3rd year in a row, the winners of the 2004 Independent Game of the Year awards have been posted. These games are made by independent developers, and many of them have the same simple pick up and play gameplay as classic arcade favorites. Jets'n'Guns is a must-play!

Earlier last year, Midway had announced that the GameCube version of Mortal Kombat: Deception was cancelled due to slow sales of the first iteration,  MK:DA. But in a twist of fate, Mortal Kombat: Deception is coming to the GameCube, and it's bringing along a couple of old friends. That's right, Goro and Shao Kahn will be playable characters as GameCube exclusives! Get your GameCube X-Adapter now, and be prepared to be pummeled next month!
